Have you ever bothered to calculate the cost of DUMSOR to you? If you are fortunate enough or perhaps unfortunate enough to possess a generator there is the diesel and maintenance cost. For others there are medical, lifestyle, the cost of electrical items malfunctioning etc which they must deal with!
Maybe the time has come for people to start farming and rearing to cater for themselves to mitigate their increased costs and reduced standard of living.
As my third day without electricity reaches an end i did my calculations on cost, productivity, health, inconvenience and wondered and wondered. There are no words to describe this situation and in speaking to others it is apparent that everyone suffers by degree and everyone is slowly reaching a point where cynicism alone cannot and does not work.
Love is beautiful but it can also ravage and destroy. It brings pleasure and it brings pain. It brings joy and it brings sorrow. It brings light and it brings darkness. It brings laughter and it brings tears. It brings peace and it brings turmoil.
The Ghana Rugby Football Union elected Mr. Herbert Mensah, former Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC, as its new and second President at its national congress held at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium.
Friday 9th of May 2014 marked the 13th anniversary of one of the world’s worst tragic stadium disasters in history where 126 young football supporters lost their lives needlessly during a football match between Accra Hearts of Oak (Hearts of Oak) and Kumasi Asante Kotoko (Kotoko) at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Football administrator and close pal of Komla Dumor, Mr. Herbert Mensah, has paid a moving and personal tribute to the iconic broadcaster at a liturgical service in Accra.
He eulogised the unparalleled excellence that underpinned Komla’s work and praised his undying love for his father, Prof. Ernest Dumor, sister Mawuena Trebarh, brother Korshie Dumor and three children.
